Duties

Help

In this position, you will:
- Inspect trees and shrubs for evidence of pest infestation, decayed wood, weak or dead limbs, and removal of such items.
- Prune to obtain a proper balance between roots and top growth, and to maintain the natural form.
- Use and maintain hand tools, zero turn mowers, walk behind mowers, weed eaters and blowers, leaf vacuum, tractors, skid steers with attachments, spray equipment, snow blowers and snowplows, chain saws, and pruning equipment.
- Mow large and small turf areas, weed eat, mulch planting beds, install, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers, and perform other grounds maintenance activities as assigned.
- Operate large articulating loaders, backhoes, and excavation equipment for the repair and installation of underground utilities.

Qualifications

There is no specific length or level of experience requirements. The applicant's overall background of experience, education and training must clearly demonstrate the ability to perform gardener work and heavy equipment operation without more than normal supervision.
