Summary

About the Position: Incumbent serves as the senior Real Property Specialist performing, in accordance with appropriate Army Regulations (ARs), technical and administrative duties relating to real property accountability, real estate transactions, real property, space utilization, and map updating. Based on a good working knowledge of the organization and substantive programs under the Real Property Officers control, the incumbent resolves problems associated with the work of the office.

Duties

Help
  • Documents real property assets in compliance with regulatory references, reviewing and entering pertinent and out grant real estate information into systems of record.
  • Ensures all changes to real property assets, resulting from the physical inventory, are entered into the official Accountable Property System of Record.
  • interprets real estate agreements and regulations to identify real property maintenance responsibilities for customers.
  • Identifies land, buildings and facility changes for the purpose of annotating maps of installation property.
  • Reviews maps of installation property to determine those that should be annotate (e.g., for easements, grants, etc.)
  • Identifies planned real property changes from maps of installation property to assure their accuracy.
  • Reviews/validates the map updating work for technical adequacy
  • Monitors real estate agreement expiration dates for renewal
  • Interprets real estate agreements and regulations to identify real property maintenance responsibilities for customers.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One Year Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes adocumenting real property assets in compliance, and other federal, state, and local, and laws; entering pertinent in grant and out grant real estate information into automated and/or manual real property systems; preparing or reviewing the Installation Commander's Annual Real Property Utilization Survey; and identifying land, buildings and facility changes for the purpose of annotating maps of installation property.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and/or experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
