Duties

Help
  • Prepare reports to document deficiencies or areas of non-compliance with contract shippers.
  • Maintain contractor surveillance production reports, records, and/or files in accordance with procedures.
  • Checks for qualify customer service, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, timely completion of work, and other contract workload for indications of deficiencies and completes appropriate documents/forms after inspections are complete.
  • Serves as liaison between contractors and other organization activities on matters concerning contract administration and customer satisfaction.
  • Reviews and certifies customer eligibility; shipping, storage, and travel entitlements; personally procured move vouchers; additional invoices or documentation as needed.
  • Evaluates customer complaints and reports findings and recommendations after investigations are completed.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitor an organization's transportation operations; 2) Recommend solutions to transportation issues; AND 3) Analyze contract or billing requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education
