This position is located at the Recycling Center which is a part of the Fort Moore Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division (MWR).

This position may be offer as a Flexible position (00-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plan. The position may also be offered as Regular Part Time with guaranteed (20 hours) and eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plan.

Duties

Help
  • Follows established procedures in receiving, checking, and sorting and classifying recyclable materials based on industry standards of characteristics such as weight, texture, color, and hardness.
  • Work is usually performed either in a warehouse or property recycle facility.
  • Performs the work of receiving, separating, and sorting a variety of recycle materials and sorts basic categories of common recyclable materials (i.e. paper, plastic, metal).
  • Operates paper and plastic bailer and low and high torque shredder.
  • Operates a variety of forklifts capable of lifting loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds to move, load, unload, stack, or un-stack various recycle materials.

PCS Costs:
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials:
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

Incentives and Bonuses:
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances:
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
