You will provide water quality support on compliance issues, policies, and regulations to promote compliance with drinking water, stormwater and wastewater laws and regulations.
You will review and prepare environmental permits and related documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws associated with the Clean Water Act.
You will review specifications for contracts, construction projects, and post-construction to determine water program permit conditions are not in violation.
You will interpret water quality regulations and identify corrective actions based on data analysis to resolve non-compliances.
You will oversee the application and maintenance of water permits that support base operations and comply with environmental programs.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working with others in adherence to environmental programs, policies, guidelines, regulations, and compliance provisions; 2) Conducting site investigations and work practice evaluations to determine compliance with environmental laws and regulations (e.g. water quality requirements); and 3) Preparing technical reports, standard operating procedures and correspondence related to environmental programs (e.g. water quality requirements).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
