Duties

Help
  • Prepare, submit and track Product Quality Deficiency Reports.
  • Review Battalion repair parts status and provide recommendations and/or initiate solutions for repair part requests.
  • Manage various reports and files in accordance with systems such as Army Records Information Management System.
  • Drive a motor vehicle to pick up, transport and deliver repair parts and supply items to supported activities.
  • Perform manual or automated walk-up requests and follows up with installation supply support activity/Logistic Readiness Centers.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Utilizing web-based automated logistics supply
system's procedures and regulations to maintain the information within the Global Combat Support System(GCSS), an automated maintenance management system for supply actions, accountability and resources to provide for, the materiel requirements for combat support; Preparing various reports for items, such as, lost, damaged, or destroyed property; Answering inquiries from customers regarding the status of supply items, such as, supply requisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-[insert 05 or above]).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
