Duties

Help

  • Provides expert technical analysis, input, and guidance for the expansion of marketing automation systems and business intelligence (BI) capabilities within the FAS and introduces emerging marketing automation and BI principles, which impact the FAS Enterprise.
  • Identifies and executes system development opportunities and recommends opportunities in order to strengthen FAS data management systems and marketing automation platform to strengthen client engagement and measurement.

  • Prepares and conducts briefings for higher level management to explain process flow and data integrity provides recommendations or action plans, and proposes guidance and direction for implementation of recommendations. Provides management with timely, accurate, and substantive input.

  • Provides technical expertise and interaction/response to internal and external customers for front-end business interface and back-end technical support at varying levels within the organization. The incumbent provides solutions in the latest technologies, applications, and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409.00 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. 


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  
Specialized experience is experience as a marketing automation professional using marketing automation, (such as Eloqua, HubSpot marketing hub, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe/Marketo and/or Zoho), to measure market-category client engagement, developing business requirements, optimizing digital marketing campaign performance, completing Drip Campaigns, and translating digital marketing needs into the development agile user stories that drive customer retention and acquisition.

How you will be evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

You will be evaluated on the questions you answer during the application process, which will measure your overall possession of the following competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Your responses to these questions must be supported by your resume or your score may be lowered. 

  • Mastery in developing and applying new approaches for the improvement of marketing automation, business intelligence (BI) capabilities and applications, CRM, and data management and data hygiene. 
  • Mastery skill in coordinating and successfully working with technical groups to build or deploy system enhancements and changes on enterprise-wide systems including marketing automation, CRM, database management, and other BI solutions.

  • Expert skill in verbal communication to provide authoritative advice and guidance to influence managers, federal stakeholders and other officials to adopt and implement recommendations; gain cooperation and input from others; lead presentations and briefings for high-ranking officials; as well as to represent FAS at meetings, conferences, and workgroups.
  • Skill in communicating, negotiating, and expressing technical concepts and ideas, orally and in writing, to technical and non-technical personnel. Skill in writing clearly, logically, and succinctly. Skill in making formal presentations to present and interpret research findings in an effective, clear, and professional manner.
