  • Serves as primary POC with sponsors/external entities to coordinate activities and insure compatibility with project objectives.
  • Identify any problems and recommend changes or alternatives to resolve encountered or anticipated issues.
  • Assure assigned projects meet schedule, cost and scope objectives along with technical quality meeting expectations of the customer.
  • Coordinate the development of project schedules, budgets, manpower needs, and milestones.
  • Direct the preparation of budgetary data pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Allocates funds to all elements of the project and assures that costs do not exceed projected allocations.
  • Prepares and reviews written reports, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
  • Presents project briefings to communicate facts, ideas, or status in a succinct and organized manner.
  • Serve as a point of contact and liaison to communciate project status, challenges, and success, with external partners, stakeholders, non-federal sponsors, and Congressional staffers.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
