Duties

Help
  • Serve as the Manpower and Personnel Support Analyst and liaison.
  • Perform manpower and personnel alignment and compliance tasks for the overall mission of the organization.
  • Develop methods to improve employee development policies, processes, and practices and recommended changes to management.
  • Assist on the interpretation of regulations regarding policies and procedures.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing personnel management support for areas such as organizational structure, performance, personnel actions, or training; providing recommendations for changes to improve work processes and correct deficiencies; AND assist in the management of manpower budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • TERM Appointment: This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 2 Years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
  • TERM Appointment with option for conversion (must be established prior to announcement opening): To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
  • Situational Telework: This position MAY be eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
