As a Senior Advisor (Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management), you will:

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director to establish, maintain, track, and improve stakeholder relationships in assigned portfolio by serving as the primary point of contact within the team. Consult with the Assistant Director to identify, develop, and manage new stakeholder relationships and nurture existing stakeholder relationships.
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Director support the operational management and efficient utilization of office resources, resolving issues and implementing changes, as necessary. Establish and implement comprehensive program performance monitoring, including periodic reviews with the Assistant Director. Collaborate with the Assistant Director in developing both informal and formal policy initiatives, planning work assignments on a strategic multi-year basis, setting organizational tone and direction, and creating and modeling an environment that fosters and sustains diversity, knowledge sharing, and consensus building. Work with the Assistant Director to build a high-functioning team, including all aspects of talent recruitment, subject matter review, orientation, and staff development.
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Director, work with team members to enhance the information stream from stakeholders to the Bureau. Communicate mission, vision, strategic goals, issues, proposed rules, and more to obtain feedback from stakeholders regarding CFPB activities. Provide feedback about the Bureau's regulations, enforcement, and other offices and divisions' activities for consideration of stakeholder interests.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.


Specialized Experience: For the CN-71, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-60 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN-60 is broadly equivalent to the GS-14).Specialized Experience for this position includes:
  • Providing advice to senior management regarding consumer finance laws, regulations, and policies and assessing stakeholders' views and recommendations on current laws, regulations, policies, market trends, and financial products and services; AND
  • Assisting in developing policy initiatives, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements; AND
  • Maintaining, tracking, and improving stakeholder relationships that impact consumers and consumer finance.

CFPB uses an experience-based process to set pay for employees. Experience is evaluated and credited using the employee's résumé. Part-time experience will be credited pro-rata based on a 40-hour work week, while work of 32 hours or more will be rounded up to full-time experience. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
