Help
  • Conducts feasibility studies to determine if government property is properly maintained and used in accordance with current real property Category Codes (CATCODE).
  • Interprets shop drawings, as-builts, blueprints and diagrams as needed to perform assessments/inspections.
  • Interprets, modifies, and adapts standards and guides; develops plans and specifications for process changes; prepares estimates of materials and costs.
  • Collects sufficient assessment data to accurately reflect facility and infrastructure conditions and enters all data into the Builder Sustainment Management System (SMS) or Installation Status Report (ISR) system.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Conducting studies to determine if government property is properly maintained and used in accordance with current real property Category Codes (CATCODE); interpreting shop drawings, as-builts, blueprints and diagrams; collecting assessment data to accurately reflect facility and infrastructure conditions; entering data into the Builder Sustainment Management System (SMS) or Installation Status Report (ISR) system.
