Summary

This position is part of the Selective Service System (SSS), Public & Intergov Affairs Directorate, Data Management Center, Administration Branch. The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of procurement and contractual functions to include securing quotes from vendors, certifying payment of Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) payables and invoices, researching and resolving billing issues and preparing documentation for open market purchases.

Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of procurement and contractual functions to include securing quotes from vendors.
  • Assist with budget formulation and execution involving facility, maintenance, postal, printing and administrative expenses.
  • Ensures employees are properly sponsored, enrolled, fingerprinted, and badged. Resets passwords, conducts badge inventories and arranges for replacement of lost or damaged credentials.
  • Places building work order requests, estimates for space renovations and provide information for lease renewals.

Qualifications

At the GS-09 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-08 level that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include (1) performing oversight and purchasing of property and supply items, reviewing procurement requests, space management, records management, coordination (2) administration and coordination of transportation; (3) conducts inventories of property in accordance with regulations; OR
B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if major study is public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.; OR
C. A combination of specialized experience and post-graduate level education as defined above which equals 100%. For example, 6 months of specialized experience and 2 years and 6 months of graduate level education. (i.e. 68 quarter hours or 45 semester hours of education. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).
