Summary

Lifeguard Certification Training is located at Richardson Pool on Schofield Barracks. Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be non-competitively placed in a Recreation Aid Lifeguard position PD 3206 at either Richardson Pool Schofield Barracks, Hawaii or Tripler Pool Honolulu locations.

Duties

Help
  • Individuals training to become certified Lifeguards.
  • Position involves close supervision with detailed guidance by Aquatics Manager.
  • Full participation in all required training, including emergency rescue drills and action plan simulations. All certifications must be completed within 30 days of employment.
  • For facilities using "O2 bottles," certification in Oxygen Administration (American Red Cross or equivalent) is required within two weeks of duty.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must be able to swim and participate in the lifeguard certifications.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
