THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (T32), Position Description Number D0911000 and is part of the RI USPFO Rhode Island National Guard. The primary purpose of the position is to perform analysis of supply management procedures, services, and directives and to plan, organize, review, evaluate and perform limited supervisory responsibilities over subordinates in accomplishing the work of the branch.

Duties

Help

Manage for Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in for Material Management Branch. Reviews, analyzes, and interprets supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support. Develops and establishes controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment. Participates with supervisor in carrying out the supervisory responsibilities of the branch. Prepares requests for filling vacancies or for additional personnel to meet workload requirements. Participates in the selection of subordinates from lists of eligible candidates. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • An individual convicted of a qualifying crime ofdomestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers,contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support.

-- A working knowledge of commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management or of supply program management to perform recurring assignments, operations, and/or procedures dealing with supply issues and problems.

--Use skill in weighing the impact of variables such as cost, existing policies and procedures, data processing requirements and other issues that influence the course of action.

-- A comprehensive knowledge of accepted methods, techniques, and standardized automated databases to search for and analyze information, resolve questions, prepare entries for supply record systems, and provide supply information, reports, and services.

-- Knowledge to perform analytical assignments involving a specific issue associated with supply management or operations, or to study and recommend solutions for a segment of a broad study involving several issues or problems.

-- Knowledge of existing policy, work procedures, work methods, data integrity, or coordination requirements in a supply program; and elements of other organizations such as contracting and procurement, data processing, accounting, or those receiving supply support.
