Duties

Help
  • Serve as senior advisor to the Integrated Planning Element Director on all functions and operations, as well as the Director’s personal representative on special projects and external engagements.
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates IPE programs and operations to assure that plans are followed to meet objectives, goals, and strategic direction.
  • Recommends policy, organization, and operational procedures regarding management and operation of the IPE.
  • Identifies and monitors actual or potential problem areas that require command decision and recommends a specific course of action that will resolve the problem or correct deficient performance.
  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work based on priorities.
  • Assists in developing long-range objectives in terms of assigned and projected missions, controls, and management requirements of an unusual nature.
  • Concentrate special attention upon challenges and issues that inhibit the attainment of IPE, JFHQ-C/ARCYBER, ARCYBER, US Cyber Command and CCMD goals and objectives.
  • Keeps the Director apprised on matters relating to the general management effectiveness of the organization.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
  • Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with access to SCI Security clearance.
  • Irregular tours of duty (work outside of hours considered normal) and/or extended duty will be required.
  • Position designated as Emergency Essential.
  • Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location. Prior to appointment to the position, employee will sign a statement agreeing to the E-E condition of employment.
  • Must possess a U.S. Passport.

This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
1. Directing and managing administrative programs, mission requirements, training and exercises to ensure cyberspace operations meet Combatant Command level support requirements;
2. Collaborating/coordinating with major commands and organizations to integrate and synchronize cyberspace operations and leverage enterprise-wide resources;
3. Deconflicting operational requirements with available resources to ensure cyberspace operations mission success.

Education
