Duties

Help
  • Supports Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program Planning and Control (PPC) division specializing in budget planning, execution, and analysis.
  • Supports development of the Programming, Planning and Budget Execution (PPBE) products and analysis in complex or dynamic content areas.
  • Supports all aspects of budget and financial management including recommending resource allocations based on trends, priorities, or risk evaluation.
  • Provides inputs to programmatic products addressing reporting or data requests.
  • Evaluates program and project plans to ensure cost, schedule, and technical integration ensuring resource allocations align with programmatic priorities.
  • Monitors budget expenditures to identify potential problem areas, reports to program management regularly on financial performance indicators, and recommends corrective action plans as necessary.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • Executing the budget for assigned business areas and ensures the appropriate funding source is used and funding requests are reasonable;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine funding requirements while participating in budget planning efforts;
  • Analyzing information gathered from multiple sources and integrating and presenting to management to support decision making.
