SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Assigned to and tasked with assisting within the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma MCCS Asset Management Department. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, disposing of, marking, and issuing property and fixed assets. Ensures that property received is appropriately marked, warehoused, and distributed to MCCS activities in a timely manner. Assists with receiving purchase requests and processing department requisitions of supplies, property, and maintenance services. Assists with all MCCS property record updates to include the movement of assets between MCCS activities. Assists with maintaining data on all property. Assists with recording, filing, and maintaining data on all property documents. Assists with conducting inventories of MCCS fixed assets and property. Assists with the disposal of MCCS property.

Responsible for assisting with establishing inventory control procedures: adjust and maintain Consolidated Memorandum Reports (CMR), Property Warehouse records, and inventories. Maintain a computer database of supplies through the Financial Management System (FMS), Defense Property Management System (DPAS), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and other inventory systems. Identified and addresses discrepancies by conducting bi-annual inventory audits and spot inspections. Reviews supporting documents and reference material to determine what special supply action is required and take action to apply.

Performs warehouse work involving receiving, storing and shipping a variety of bin and material, equipment and commodities. Work usually repetitive and involves unloading, staking, rotating, and marking stock in accordance with standardized operating instructions. Uses equipment such as hand lifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and electric lifts. Screens lists or other documents specifying the items or material needed for work operations, keeps local stock records

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, shipping terms, and procedures. Knowledge of work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Ability to operate a CRT and related office machines. Knowledge of business mathematics. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid fork lift operator's license. A valid health card is required in order to possess a valid fork lift operator¿s license.
