Duties

Help
  • Sets up bars for operation. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Skill in mixing drinks using alcoholic beverages, beer and soda. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
  • Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
  • Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must meet meet state/local age requirements (18) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Stands for prolonged periods.
  • The Hooper Bowling Center is open seven days a week. The majority of our business is accomplished during evenings and Saturdays and Sundays. Candidates must be willing to work those hours.
  • Must be able to work during the hours of operations to include some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements are:

1. Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Possess at least 3 months of bar-tending experience

FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
