Basic Requirement for Lead Operations Research Analyst:
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Transcripts must be attached for qualifications review.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience developing and leading experimentation of warfighting capability, 2) Leading and executing analytical studies, 3) Working directly with the development, modification and/or employment of modeling and simulations within Army & DoD operational effectiveness analysis, and 4) Directing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, providing clear vision and guidance on study planning, and delivering results within specified timelines to meet senior leader decision requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-3/GS-13).
