Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of trades and laboring duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities and equipment. Duties require trade practices associated with painting, carpentry and laboring work.
  • Assists in the maintenance and repair of building interiors. Makes repairs and alterations to seats, bleachers, basketball surfaces in accordance with specifications set by NCAA and the supervisor.
  • Paints any type of surface, to include courts and fields. Measures and paints lines on fields and courts to strict NCAA specifications and to endure unusually caustic conditions. Uses and works from ladders and scaffolding.
  • Sets up, breaks down and maintains goals, nets, bleachers, weight room equipment and audio/visual equipment. Cleans, mops, shampoos, polishes, disinfects areas and equipment to include locker rooms, team rooms, lounges and weight room.
  • Uses and operates various automated and hand equipment to make, maintain tennis and basketball courts. Maintains equipment, including a Gator Field Vehicle and Golf Carts.

  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Certificate of medical examination required due to lifting requirements.
