SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-07: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Reviewing permit applications, preparing reports with recommendation for changes, elimination, or improvement of program plans; and performing field work to identify existing environmental conditions and factors that could impact those conditions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-09: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Identifying, interpreting, and evaluating a variety environmental document; Reviewing permit application documentation for completeness; and Performing field inspection to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-11: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Interpreting, evaluating, and managing a variety of regulatory program actions in accordance with established regulations and guidance; explaining regulatory requirements to applicants. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-07:
1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement
GS-09:
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree
GS-11:
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
