Duties

Help
  • Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment.
  • Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments.
  • Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information.
  • Assists supervisory personnel regarding readiness, Class 9 (CL IX) funding, production problems and work planning.
  • Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are correct and submitted in time to meet Department of the Army (DA) reporting suspense.
  • Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitor work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions; and provide status of repair parts.
  • Studies directives, modification work orders, and regulations as to their application in the unit.
  • Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units and higher headquarters in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement.

  • Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.

Maximum Military Grade - CW3 (W-3)

Warrant Officer - Branch 91, 92, or 94

Enlisted - CMF 91, 92 or 94; MOS 88M

Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Title 32 National Guard employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion).

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which indicates you can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, and understand the terminology and data pertaining to the repair operations and processes characteristic of a production activity.

GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months of specialized experience which provided a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of shop production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data; experience assisting or maintaining workflow by identifying problem areas in work delays or stoppages, and schedule workflow in more than one area; and were responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities.

Education

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
