Duties

Help
  • Works from oral instructions, preventive maintenance program plans, work orders, emergency calls, read and understand layout sketches, blue prints, drawings, specifications, or similar guidance.
  • Performs full range of work involved in maintenance of kitchen equipment and maintenance of kitchen equipment systems: Performs the full range of journeyman level tasks including estimating material requirements; in which equipment will be installed.
  • Connecting air, natural or manufactured gas, water fixtures, electrical, facilities such as unit gas heaters, stoves, installing, repairing valves, inspecting/testing equipment.
  • Performs tasks in connection with the fabrication, repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen systems, performs tasks, to include upkeep of water mains, dishwashing machines, air compression equipment and variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Must have electrical and plumbing maintenance experience. Must be skilled in the use of the tools of the trades.

  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Applicant must have completed high school or equivalent in a trade school.
2. Must have three years general job related experience.
3. Two (2) years specialized experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial and commercial kitchen equipment.
