Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an analyst for an over-the-horizon (OTH) site within the Supply Management department.
  • You will serve as a central liaison between the site and various internal stakeholders for audit-related matters
  • You will assist site management in execution of NAVSUP Enterprise audit-related programs such as Manager's Review and Control (MRC), Measures of Performance (MOP), and the Qualification Card Program.
  • You will assist site management in performance of multiple programmatic and business management related tasks.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing studies requiring application of advanced analytical and statistical methods to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements; 2) Developing and monitoring metrics associated with a diverse set of products and services to track performance; 3) Resolving supply operations and material management issues using qualitative and quantitative methods; 4) Analyzing data inconsistencies for the creation of reports; 5) Assisting in the development of short and long range program policies, goals and objectives for process improvement.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related

or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.

Several vacancies may be filled.
