Responsible for operations to include patrols, , coordination of special events, traffic-accident investigations, serious incident notifications, and conduct of various investigations as directed.
Conducts vigorous patrols within the assigned jurisdictional area on foot, bike, and by motor vehicle and performs duty at various fixed posts.
Conducts surveys and develops recommendations on proposed missions. Utilizes automated police reporting and information systems.
Performs traffic enforcement duties as directed or initiated.
Engages in traffic control and serves as a deterrent to crime through presence in the area and by observing, investigating, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, to determine cause and cite offenders as necessary.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential"
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training

Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday.
