Summary
Serves as the technical authority and expert consultant for planning, analyzing, testing and integrating advanced security software technologies to enhance SSA's security safeguards for data processing systems throughout the cooperative processing architecture.
Monitors and directs the installation, maintenance, and support for new security technologies on the IBM compatible systems and software products for both mainframe and/or microcomputers throughout the agency.
Provides technical expertise in problem identification and resolution to solve critical problems associated with the implementation and use of security interface software tools, interfaces,
[CONT'D] and technologies, as well as security software problems within SSA's mainframe and/or microcomputer architecture.
Designs major extensions and enhancements to agency security related software to support current, revised, and new functional requirements for both mainframe and/or microcomputers.
Plans for and directs the development of studies, and validation procedures to implement and install new or revised security related technologies recommended at varying levels within the architecture.

Such IT-related experience must include two of the following:
Working on large enterprise networks
Supporting IT Systems and implementing security tools
Working with system lifecycles, change management, or configuration management.
Working with web services, authentication, authorization methods, or identify management.
