Summary

This position is located in the USDA, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Government Employees Services Division, Client Services Directorate, Training and Communications Branch, Section 1, Web and Graphics. The primary mission is to organize, support, and lead the delivery of Internet service that permits publication and transmission of information and implement Section 508 compliance.

Duties

Help
  • Provide guidance on implementing remediation to programmers and Web developers.
  • Design and conduct usability and accessibility tests to ensure that key user interfaces undergo usability testing prior to release.
  • Adhere to full compliance of the equal opportunity and civil rights laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance of Section 508 validation program as related to applications development, Web development.
  • Submit results of requested reports to the USDA Section 508 Coordinator for review.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band In Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector/pay systems that has equipped the candidate with the competencies to successfully perform the job duties. Specialized experience is defined as Developing and planning policies, functions, goals and procedures for an enterprise-level Section 508 validation program. Ensuring compliance of Section 508 validation program at the National Finance Center. Knowledge of HTML and code to assist developers in the remediation of inaccessible code or content.
