Summary

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Archives Specialist for the digital engagement program staff in the Office of Innovation reporting to the Director of the Digital Engagement Program Division. The incumbent serves as the first-line supervisor to staff that are responsible for overseeing programs related to promoting the improvement and use of the National Archives Catalog and other NARA online platforms.

Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Archives Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and monitor digital engagement with NARA's electronic and digitized holdings and performs measures in support of the overall goals and objectives of the Office of Innovation.
  • Provide direct supervision to program staff and coordinate their activities with those of Office of Innovation staff to ensure excellent customer relations and stakeholder relations.
  • Contribute to information technology systems development by analyzing and defining program requirements, communicating these requirements to systems developers, and coordinating deployment of information technology to supporting operations and customer services in the Office of Innovation program.
  • Develop training materials and promote initiatives to familiarize stakeholders and the public with the services provided by the Digital Engagement Division staff and the Office of Innovation.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of experience at the GS-13 level in the federal service or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:

  • Making recommendations on organizing an organization's digital engagement efforts; AND
  • Serving as a team lead on project teams responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and recommending changes to policies, strategies, and guidelines for digital engagement; AND
  • Working on or leading a team to develop recommendations and possible alternatives that further digital engagement.
