Manages indoor and outdoor maintenance, performs building manager functions, oversees custodial contracts or services, maintains repair records, manages supply accounts and maintains accountability of FC exercise equipment IA W AF! 34-204, Property Management. Supervises and schedules operations function staff members. Supervises and manages front desk operations to include facility supervision, opening/closing, daily operational duties, hourly head counts, reservations, cash collection/control and issue equipment control. Ensures front line employees have the necessary information to provide timely and accurate information to customers. Conducts and documents weekly inspections of all operational areas assigned by the FCD. Manages custodial and equipment maintenance contracts or services, certifies payment, maintains repair records, manages supply accounts and maintains accountability of Fitness Center property/equipment IA W AFI 34-204. Manages a lost & found program. Maintains oversight of NAF property and resale inventory. Acts as timekeeper for all fitness center staff; completes and certifies time cards. Develops and executes initial staff training of new employees. Works with fellow supervisors to identify training requirements for all employees; tracks training progress and currency to ensure staff members are proficient on job skills and tasks. Maintains certification as a First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Basic Life Support (BLS), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) instructor and ensures the currency and competency of all staff members. Develops emergency
response procedures; develops and documents quarterly practices. Assist in budgeting and ordering APF/NAF equipment and supplies. May be designated as a NAF and/or APF credit card holder. Acts as facility Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) and building manager. Serves as the CE, Fire, LRS, Safety, and Medical point of contact for program planning, analysis, risk management, hazard material handling and disposal, as required to ensure the safe and efficient operations. Ensures safety signage is displayed as required. Acts as approving official in Wide Area Work Flow for all fitness center APF contracts. Maintains records, validates and certifies payment for all NAF contractors. Maintains continuity folders on fitness center operations. May be required to serve as the Fitness Center Director in his/her absence. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifying Experience:
One year specialized experience working in a fitness center. Must possess experience that has provided a knowledge of standardized body of rules, procedures and operations related to one or more indoor/outdoor recreation function in order to perform the required activities in a fitness and sports environment. Knowledge of program facilities management, safety, fire & environmental regs, practices & procedures, facility design & equipment selection & purchase. Skill in preparing budgets, program evaluations & facility admin. Ability to supervise, train & schedule subordinates. May require physical dexterity or group exertion (lifting up to 75 pounds). Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check (NAC). Position is a Position of Trust. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Subject to work an uncommon tour of duty. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use."
