You will serve as a Sail Safety Coordinator and will be responsible, in cooperation with Ship's Force for the proper isolation, authorization and control of maintenance onboard units tended at the installation.
You will prepare Master Sail Maintenance Work Authorization Form (WAF) and Technical Work Document (TWD) Record Sheets in accordance with Navy and locally generated instructions.
You will ensure all associated sail WAF's are correct and properly tracked and placed on the Master Sail Maintenance WAF Technical Work Document Record Sheet.
You will perform sail controlled evolution briefs and evaluation to ensure they are conducted safely.
You will participate in critiques, refit planning meetings, weekly sail meetings, process improvement teams and LEAN Rapid Improvement Events.
You will be responsible for training IMF production shops and TRIDENT submarine off-crew personnel in the Sail Safety process and procedures.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering services executing work control processes (e.g. work authorizations, system isolation/tagouts, technical work documents) during the maintenance and repair of submarine hull, mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems and components.
