Help
  • Serves as the expert consultant and advisor to the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Medical project management office in acquisition program management for a variety of development programs of national and international interest.
  • Conducts systematic examination of the current status of all assigned programs in the context of the approved acquisition strategy, baseline, associated contractual requirements and risk management principles.
  • Leads the Acquisition team in the input and management for program reporting in the Program Management Resource Tool (PMRT) and conduct of data compliance reviews.
  • Liaises and coordinates with other subject matter experts (SME) from external organizations for information exchange pertaining to the functions and missions of assigned programs.

  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • Business travel required up to 15% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience is defined as: 1) Formulate and document individual Acquisition strategies for each program within the project office; 2) Maintains status of the program baselines and reports any potential deviations/breaches, actual deviations/breaches and required change status of the baselines; 3) Researches policies/procedures and other information systems to provide expert knowledge for reviews to the organization; and 4) Facilitates weekly meetings with headquarters, requirements community and technical base to resolve programmatic and requirements issues ensuring individual programs remain on schedule and meet requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02)/GS-11.

  • This is not a remote position. Applicants will be expected to report to the identified worksite a minimum of one day a week or more depending on work requirements and supervisory approval.
  • This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-III of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-12 through GS-13 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
