Help
  • You will advise employees on information technology (IT) program goals and objectives.
  • You will develop cost estimates for information technology (IT) equipment procurement contracts.
  • You will develop maintenance manuals for information technology (IT) system users.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency.

Your resume must demonstrate qualifying experience demonstrating the following: 1) Provide oversight and leadership for a DoD command's information technology division which supports information technology planning, management and services for DoD forces in Europe; 2) Hold a current DoDI 8570.1-M IAM Level 1 Certification/COMPTIA Security + Certification or equivalent; 3) Maintain awareness of DoD information systems technologies available to support DoD forces; and 4) Coordinate with Joint and component level command information technology and cyber operations agencies to facilitate support for military operations in the Europe. This position is a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies, for work role 802 proficiency level Advanced within 9 months of appointment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is primarily sedentary, occasionally involving moderate physical effort. The complexity and diversity of the position may involve occasional periods of high mental stress dictated by the operational and administrative tempo.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is typically performed in adequately lighted and ventilated office environment. The incumbent may be required to travel frequently.
