U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Provides direct, on-site management and administration of facilities and evaluates established programs and administrative procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Participates in the development, establishment, and implementation of operational policies related to eligibility, admission, length of stay, behavior standards for guests, cleanliness and state of repair of the facilities.
Participates in resolving a variety of Fisher House problems by assembling facts, evaluating information, and drafting reports and answers to correspondence. Helps develop and update informational bulletins, brochures, and resident packets.
Assists the Fisher House Manager in the recording and disseminating of information to guests and interested parties. Under the Fisher House Manager's direction, implements new procedures, regulations and guidelines concerning house operations.
Participates in coordinating and supervising volunteers and contract employees, such as housekeepers, repairmen, landscapers, etc. Helps ensures equal opportunity and affirmative action plan guidance is fulfilled.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events (IF REQUIRED BY MANAGEMENT).
A successful background investigation submission to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) must be met no later than 30 calendar days after entry on duty or placement in the position for internal candidates.
Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability determination.
Qualifications
Candidates Must Possess:
Two years of work experience, either paid or volunteer, that demonstrates an understanding of at least one of the following areas: facility operations and maintenance; financial management; supervision of housekeeping and other maintenance staff; recruitment, training, and scheduling of volunteers; guest relations; and marketing.
A two-year hospitality related associated degree or certification as CLM (Certified Lodging Manager) may be substituted for the two years of work experience.

Education

Area of Consideration:
The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is defined as Ft. Belvoir, VA (Fairfax) and surrounding area within 50-mile radius; in addition to, you are considered eligible if one of the following applies: 1) you live outside of this area and are able to commute to work on a daily/as needed basis, 2) you are able to relocate yourself on your own expenses, 3) you are an involuntarily separated military member, or 4) you are a military spouse/family member relocating to this installation. Eligibility begins 30 days before the military sponsor's reporting date at the new duty location.

Salary Information:
Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week.
Hourly rate/ salary is:
NF-03 $24.50ph -$27.00ph ($51,132.00 to $56,349.00 Per Year)
PCS Costs
Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF ) Allowances and Differentials
This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Below defines theemployment category for this position: - Part-Time (at least 20 guaranteed work hours per week (may be scheduled be scheduled between 20-39 hours per week)
