Duties

Help

As a Administrative Officer, you will:

  • Ensure that all of the serviced organization's budget plan reflect program objective, priority, commitment and a variety of administrative controls and established limitation.
  • Provide advice relative to long-term impact of resource allocation to operating component and impact of future change on existing or projected resource.
  • Plan and direct comprehensive studies and analyses of the mission, plan, operation, and relationships to define its administrative service need.
  • Advise on contracting and negotiation procedure and supervise development of inter/intra agency agreement, reimbursable agreement, and grants management.
  • Analyze, develop documentation, and recommend policy regarding realignment of function and distribution of personnel resource allocation for the serviced organization.

  • In accordance with Executive Order 12564 of September 15, 1986, The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is A Drug-Free Federal Workplace. This position may require a Drug Test and be subject to Random Drug Testing. The position may require the submission of a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and be subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing upon hiring. If required to submit to urinalysis, the appointment to the position will be contingent upon a negative test result.

Qualifications

Desired Qualification Requirements/Experience:

  • Experience with human resources management administering personnel actions in systems such as Enterprise Human Capital Management (EHCM);
  • Experience in travel systems such as CONCUR.gov;
  • Understanding and interpretation of travel policies and procedures.
Applicants must currently occupy a full-time Career or Career Conditional competitive service position within CDC/ATSDR or an Excepted Service position under the Schedule A, Schedule B, or Veterans Recruitment Appointment Authority within the CDC/ATSDR or Commissioned Corps equivalent, unless otherwise specified in the Announcement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
