Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an expert for the engineering and technical interface with all support contractors and various supporting government organizations.
  • You will lead and manage the production effort in conducting the planning, coordination, and execution of approved work schedules for unique deep ocean systems.
  • You will serve as the on-site technical authority and principal liaison with NAVSEA in the maintenance and application of highly advanced and complex system technology and engineering policy.
  • You will plan, manage and evaluate the technical systems engineering functions involved in maintaining and testing of a system, subsystem, or equipment to meet cost, schedule, performance, and supportability.
  • You will evaluate engineering and technical efforts used to define system/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into modernization criteria, evaluate alternative maintenance approaches, and maintain the systems operating specifications.
  • You will participate as an expert representative on panels and committees.
  • You will develop maintenance and testing procedures.
  • You will ensure all projects meet appropriate certification requirements.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band (NO-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Schedule and cost risk analyses to quantify risk impacts as identified in applicable guidance or as part of Integrated Risk Assessments; 2) Knowledge of the Navy's 3 M process, PMS and PMC; 3) Oversee and coordinate efforts of a diverse workforce; 4) Organize, lead and integrate the efforts of other experts and specialists to develop new concepts, solve very complex interdisciplinary problems, develop new policy and define new programs/technical plans and requirements; AND 5) Develop and manage a comprehensive configuration management baseline.
