Duties

Help

Responsible for day to day planning, organizing and executing Community Center programs that are specifically targeted to the mission of the Community Center. Programs include but are not limited to music, entertainment, dramatic, social, recreation, and special activities. Provides Director with monthly calendars outlining scheduled events & activities. Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities in absence of first level supervisor; assists with assignment of duties and review of work of subordinates in the absence of first level supervisor. May be called upon to prepare work schedules. Identifies training needs and assists in developing and implementing training and marketing plans. Advises employees of performance expectations with regard to planned activities and programs. Provides and advocates appropriate recognition for employee performance and contributions. Reports security violations to the proper authority upon discovery. Provides Director with input for budget requirements with supporting data based on planned activity and program calendar. Alternate facility manager for day to day operations. Serves as Vehicle Control Officer maintaining vehicles, scheduling proper and adequate transportation required for activities and programs, and submits required reports. Properly maintains daily financial reports. Interacts with customers. Identifies customer requirements and utilizes feedback to assess customer needs. Provides feedback to management; gives recommendations for improving service and programs. Responds to inquiries; researches records and files to obtain required information. Maintains proper logs for Government purchase card. Purchases supplies as needed for scheduled activities and programs. Assists in performance of monthly inventory process. Monitors and prepares contracts for entertainers, instructors, etc. and completes required invoices in a timely manner. Assists in property management and controls. May operate a motor vehicle or light truck on a limited basis; performs operator maintenance. Observes all safety rules, regulations, and posted traffic signs. Performs other duties as assigned. May operate one or more motor vehicles to include light trucks, sedans and vans weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. In addition, responsible experience in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty for which the applicant is considered. Must have demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. A good working knowledge of Services practices and procedures is highly desired. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Works an uncommon tour of duty. Must be able to obtain Food Handler's Certification. Must process a valid state driver's license appropriate for the size and type of vehicle operated.
