Duties

Help
  • Support and manage healthcare quality planning activities for the DHN Chief CQMLead ultimately impacting the overall strategic direction of clinical care, quality, safety and graduateeducation across the DHN.
  • Employ expertise in Continuous ProcessImprovement (CPI) applied to healthcare to coordinate the planning of DHN clinical qualityimprovement priorities to be aligned with the DHHQ Office of Strategy Management, and MedicalAffairs Directorate.
  • Serve as a DHN subject matter expert in improvement science trained in Lean SixSigma (LSS) tools and techniques and the principles and practices related to the management of healthcare delivery systems
  • Conduct DHN level planning and analysis of clinical quality improvements through a network of existing and evolving clinical experts in working and stakeholder groups by applying knowledge and application of CPI.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating medical service delivery to identify clinical quality improvements; interpreting policies and/or procedures to develop protocols across medical facilities; and providing guidance and advice to senior leaders in a healthcare setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
