Summary

Duties

Help
  • Conduct oversight and management of the Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC) program and system audit requirements to include the development and publication of policies and instructions related to the program.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, of internal controls over financial system, and of internal controls over operation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform a full range of RMIC duties to include planning, development guidance, training, and coordinating with all assessable units and components on RMIC processes.
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence and other documentation, e.g., formal letters, reports, briefings, charts, background papers, etc.

  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 (Practitioner) in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Overseeing and managing of audit requirements and administration of the Risk Management and Internal Controls of the program; AND 2) Aiding assessable programs with risk assessments, documenting business processes, and conducting evaluations of operational and financial business processes to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance.

The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
