Duties

Help
  • You will assist the director in planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, prepares schedules for completion of work and develop performance standards.
  • You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, the difficulty of the work to be performed, and the capabilities of employees. Evaluates work performance of subordinates.
  • You will function as an enterprise and program- level sustainment expert and acquisition advisor to program managers for the development of integrated logistics product support solutions.
  • You will apply the principles of Total Life Cycle Management to oversee, monitor, integrate, and execute the planning and implementation of comprehensive DoD-wide logistics programs.
  • You will be responsible for enhancing integrated logistics readiness and product support effectiveness by resolving highly complex logistics problems affecting numerous component/agency/command or commercial activities and units.
  • You will analyze, evaluate, review, and provides expert opinions and conclusions on the intended and unintended consequences of proposed and existing logistics policies.
  • You will manage the efforts of the team in developing detailed projects for supporting the requirements identified by the customer through tailored program execution plans, statements of work, statements of objectives, and strategic planning.
  • You will oversee execution of planning, attainment and inventory management by collaborating and facilitating interactions with MARCORLOGCOM customers through a myriad of sound business methods and techniques.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You may be required to work overtime.
  • You may be required to be recalled to duty
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card with travel and purchase authority.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following; Establishing requirements, plans, and procedures to support the sustainment of ground weapons systems, and supervising personnel in the performance of logistics duties.; Overseeing, monitoring and executing logistics programs.

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Section 1125 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 authorizes the Secretary of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service at domestic Defense Industrial Base Facility or Major Range and Test Facilities Base. Competitive rating and ranking of applicants do not apply to the Direct Hire process.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
