Duties

Help
  • Recognized expert Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) exploitation analyst focused on collection results and fusing Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) with multi-discipline intelligence in direct support of the Command’s mission and goals.
  • Applies specialized Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) expertise to perform highly complex and ambiguous assignments that normally require integration and synthesis of a number of related, unrelated disciplines and disparate concepts.
  • Responsible for collaborating, managing and coordinating multi-discipline SIGINT fusion requirements for near real time SIGINT capabilities, specialized collection, exploitation and dissemination directly supporting command and subordinate units.
  • Provides insight into Special Operations Forces (SOF) Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) at exercise, operational, and technology planning and review forums.
  • Anticipates the need for balanced and qualified staff and recommends organizational structure and personnel requirements to ensure proper management and assigned mission.
  • Finds and implements ways to reduce barriers to production, promote team building, or improve workflows and information accesses.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Requires extensive temporary duty (TDY) travel on very short notice, to locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), up to 30% of the time.
  • Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of assigned command (50 miles).

  • Position requires duties to be performed under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercise and deployment operations. May be required to deploy into areas in which hostile action may occur.

  • Must be able to comply with all federal agency security and medical requirements in order to obtain and maintain Staff -Like-Access.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:
  1. Current experience utilizing up-to-date National Security Agency (NSA) policies, directives and procedures to drive operational decision making. AND
  2. Experience with the convergence of SIGINT analysis and associated policies. AND
  3. Experience identifying intelligence gaps and utilizing SIGINT policies, processes and relationships to support Command requirements. AND
  4. Experience building and maintaining professional partnerships within the Intelligence Community.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
