  • You will develop policies and procedures to ensure insider threat and security control assessor associated information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
  • You will assist in the development of InTP and Security Control Assessor (SCA) systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
  • You will participate in the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the identification of potential or suspected insider threats during system, application and enclave validations.
  • You will gather information system requirements, performs security assessments to determine vulnerabilities and develops or acquires engineering solutions

Qualifications

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service,

defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to
detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: [Conducting a risk assessment
analysis for hardware, software, data communications and design countermeasures in support of
proposed or current operational systems.]
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive
the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals
who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their
needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations;
knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and
services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:[Investigating, resolving
security breaches, drafting required reports and inform supervisors of the corrective actions.]
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or
groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example,
technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to
others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating
this competency include: Participating in working groups, effectively communicating, briefing
senior leadership, etc.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses
sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related
experience demonstrating this competency include: [Identifying and recommending patches and
security measures to mitigate vulnerabilities that may affect or may effect computer operation
systems, networking operations and other software.]

In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, qualifying experience would be demonstrated by your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing Insider Threat Program (InTP) audit capabilities, defined triggers, and data
collection tools; establishes information assurance procedures related to combating the insider
threat; 2) Reporting findings and status of overall Information Assurance (IA) metrics and
effectiveness of standards to organizational leadership; 3) Participating in the gathering,
analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the identification of potential or suspected insider threats.
