What to Expect

  • Directly responsible for the economic and efficient operations of the Graphics Print Shop.   
  • Completing accurate accounting records, operational reports, security of cash receipts, planning, budgeting, and proper utilization of materials and staff. 
  • Prepares and maintains accurate inventory worksheets and implements practices to prevent loss of supplies. 
  • Keeps current on all techniques relating to the graphics print shop and makes appropriate suggestions accordingly. 
  • Monitors monthly profit and loss statements and budgets to ensure goals and projections are reasonable and on target.  
  • Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending, and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, signing timesheets, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment.  
  • Some combinations of standing, stooping, bending, walking, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledge and experience of business management, preferably in a sales and production related field, that includes the use of financial and personnel management principals, practices, methods, and techniques.  
  • Ability to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work.  
  • Ability to calculate proper exposure times, and to determine when to shoot positives and negatives to the screen material. 
  • Knowledge of computer graphics, and an eye for detail, and must be well versed in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.  
  • Ability to operate design and printing equipment in the accomplishment of work. Ability to select tools, equipment and material for production.  
  • Ability to maintain adequate levels of inventory.
