Duties

Help
  • Serve as the Defense Travel System (DTS) Administrator/Financial Administrator (DTA/DTFA) and the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH).
  • Assisting with overall responsibility for managing the budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY).
  • Review all TDY requests for personnel ensuring agreement of budgetary account codes, dollar amounts, and compliance with regulations and procedures.
  • Develop statistics and cost data for use in programming, planning, and execution of the travel budget.
  • Develop travel and per diem estimates for a wide variety of travel orders to include individual TDY and invitational travel.

  • This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 1 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes assisting with managing the budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY); utilizing a travel system to input and route travel authorizations and vouchers; and identifying and correcting errors related to budgetary accounting codes, dollar amounts and compliance with regulations and procedures.
