Duties

Help
  • Provide financial advisory services for a segment of the agency budget.
  • Responsible for executing a major segment of the command budget or a total budget for one or more funds (i.e., DBOF, revolving, investment, FMS, etc.)
  • Responsible for formulating and justifying a major segment of the command budget.
  • Analyze, develop, and complete detailed financial statistical requirements to support program operations.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category of BUSINESS – FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (BUS-FM) and Advanced Career Level IV Certification must be met within 4 years of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires Financial Management Certification Level 2.
  • The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to carry out the functions of this position. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties which includes:1) Monitoring control of fund and budget execution to ensure fiscal compliance; 2) Providing guidance on an organization's operating budget, mid-year review, execution review, and year-end closeout to ensure mission requirements are met; 3) Compile cost figures to be used in forecasting funding needs for the year; and 4) Working with automated financial management systems to analyze and/or interpret schedules of commitments, obligations and expenditures, and funding reports for projects.


This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
