Duties

Help
  • You will serve as a central point of contact and exchange of information for personnel of supply organizations relative to material support problems.
  • You will plan for and determine current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs.
  • You will receive equipment, supplies and material ordered by and consigned to the Naval Dosimetry Center (NDC).
  • You will complete at a minimum an annual wall-to-wall inventory of all equipment at NDC and at a minimum a 10% monthly inventory.
  • You will make change of location to equipment records and completes/processes transfer, loan, and disposal paperwork.
  • You will maintain complete and current records of non-expendable property in the DMLSS system.
  • You will work w/NSA-Bethesda’s facility management department to resolve issues related to repairs to properties occupied by command.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Utilizing a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts and independently perform recurring assignments, (i.e., planning, procuring, receiving, property accounting, installation, maintenance, inventory, replacement and disposal of equipment);
  • Locating and applying applicable reference materials to specific problems;
  • Implementing principles of property management and facility maintenance;
  • Using computers and computer programs to enable incumbent to establish and maintain on-going programs for equipment accountability;
  • Utilizing mathematics, grammar, spelling, punctuation, to effectively analyze purchase order terminology, write letters and memos, and email messages as required; AND
  • Using bar coding, supply functions and routine office procedures.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

Military Spouse Preference applicants will receive priority consideration at the Full Performance Level (FPL) and if determined to be Best Qualified at the FPL, and selected, must be placed at the FPL. A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ). A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
