Summary

This position is part of the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Program Support Assistant you will be responsible for providing program support to the Office of Analytics and Outcomes by providing assistance on a variety of administrative and/or program support responsibilities necessary for management and control of institutional research, effectiveness and planning.

As a Program Support AssistantGS-0303-7, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison for the Office of Analytics and Outcomes.
  • Provides clerical support for planning, review and reporting of data and statistical results of program/project studies.
  • Manages a variety of correspondence for programs, reviews and routes to appropriate personnel and/or program.
  • Responsible for managing the purchasing process for purchasing supplies, equipment and services.
  • Performs a variety of budgetary and statistical functions for budget formulation and oversight.
  • Manages online accreditation systems and resources, including assurance argument narrative and linked evidence documentation.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the qualification requirements contained in the OPM Standards. For this position, they are listed below.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

GS-07 Grade Level: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal service. Examples include: performing a variety of administrative support functions such as preparing correspondence and reports; data tracking, compilation and analyzation; arrange travel for office personnel, prepare travel orders and vouchers; procuring office supplies; and managing departmental programs to improve the efficiency of office operations.

Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement at this grade level. Therefore, no transcripts are required.
