Assist in managing existing software quality assurance processes and enforcing existing software and data quality standards.
Plan and coordinate the development of data structures and data elements to use in the system, and to maximum performance tuning of the databases.
Develop variety of designs, programming and documentation tasks for IT applicants.
Develop applications and workflows using ServiceNow and potentially other various programming languages/platforms, such as SharePoint, NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, XML, and other web languages/tools.
Prepare project plans, meetings, budgets, standard operating procedures, reports and resource utilization estimates.
Analyze and maintain inventory of applications/systems and metrics such as cost to build and maintain an application, how often an application is used, and the interrelationships with other applications.

Specialized and Other Experience for GS 13: One year of specialized experience which includes developing software applications designs; coordinating data structures and data elements to use in the system development processes and system designs; analyzing system data to improve quality of applicants information and creating reports and data extracts for customers using various programming languages to include one of the following web tools: ServiceNow development, SharePoint / Microsoft Power Platform development, NET, HTML, JavaScript, and other related web language. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Basic Requirement for Information Technology Specialist (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS):
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: convincingly conveying complex information to customers; presenting thoughts that are well-organized and demonstrating confidence in the facts and ideas; adjusting style when working with individuals with different levels of understanding; using various methods to explain and convey information.
(4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
