Duties

Help
  • You will serve as principal point of contact for coordinating, developing, planning and executing equipment and maintenance support requirement on all equipment.
  • You will plan, develop and submit Program Objective Memorandum (POM) funding requirements including multi-year exercise budgets and equipment repair and replacement cost.
  • You will monitor quality assurance acceptance for all Naval Support Element (NSE) craft and material assets downloaded during the Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) Maintenance Cycle (MMC).
  • You will determine, schedule, coordinate and complete an inventory of Table of Allowance (TOA) equipment and material with the subordinate commands, on an annual basis.
  • You will reconcile physical inventories against the master inventory files.
  • You will attend meetings, conferences, and exercise at various locations.
  • You will facilitate the flow of work throughout the department.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Analyzing and evaluating policies, procedures, and issues, for effectiveness and efficiency, identifying and resolving discrepancies and problems, and developing solutions and methods for improvement.
  • Developing operational and interim support plans supporting data which substantiates funding requirements, repair and/or modification processes, and other support activities which provides the program managers a range of technically acceptable alternatives, with risk and value assessments.
  • Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
  • Selecting, acquiring, storing, and distributing resources in the most efficient way possible.
  • Processing data and using it to determine an item/system's support needs and preferred support methods.
  • Using the reliability and maintainability, operational requirements, existing support systems and integrated logistical support objectives as inputs and it outputs an integrated support plan for the item/system's life-cycle.
