To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: removing debris from surface areas; performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and/or dusting; and utilizing landscaping equipment to maintain lawn and grounds - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order)
Physical Effort: Requires very heavy physical effort such as frequently lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds (moving, setting up and working from ladders and scaffolds).
Working Condition: Works outside in all kinds of weather and inside in areas that may be dusty, dirty, noisy and have other adverse working conditions. The equipment, tools and tasks involved frequently require special care to avoid serious injuries. Occasionally, is exposed to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions used in stripping floors, etc. and to serious injuries (e.g., broken bones) from falls from ladders and scaffolds.
