Summary

This position is located in the District of Columbia Superior Court, Special Operations Division, Quality Management Unit (QMU). The Special Operations Division has administrative oversight for the Tax Division and provides specialized services to litigants, the public, and court operations. The Administrative Analyst is responsible for providing program, financial and administrative support to the work of the Quality Management Unit.

Duties

Help

Brief Description of Duties: 

  • Assists the Management and Program Analyst with monitoring and recording caseload activity and performance measures. 
  • Assists with identifying and correcting case, juror, and interpreter/translator management system errors impacting performance targets. 
  • Reviews and validates caseload, case and financial activity, and other performance reports for approval by the Management and Program Analyst.
  • Assists with focused data cleanup and research projects.
  • Provides recommendations for process improvements or other changes toward creating efficiencies.
  • Supports the training efforts on case errors, caseload activities, business intelligence reporting, and division performance measurement.
  • Provides ad hoc support to offices within the Special Operations Division as required to manage caseloads, quality assure case and financial activity, and other duties.   
  • Serves as the backup with timekeeping and other administrative tasks in the Office of the Director. 
  • Provides support with reconciling funds collected for preparation of the daily bank deposit and verifies juror debit card funding as needed.
  • Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries from the public, Court staff, judicial officers, law clerks, and attorneys and refer parties for appropriate further information or processing.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years of administrative experience in court, legal or office environment. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze processes and data. 

Education Substitution:

An associate's degree plus three (3) years of administrative experience in a court, legal, or office environment. 

Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of administrative experience in a court legal or office environment. 

Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts is required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.
